Dear Friends and Family,
READ 2 CHRONICLES 18:1 THROUGH 20:37
“‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15).
A vast army from Ammon, Moab, and Seir were approaching the Israelites. Alarmed, Jehoshaphat inquired of the Lord and proclaimed a fast for all the people. God’s reply was for the Israelites to not be afraid or discouraged and to let God fight the battle. They responded in faith, singing praises to the Lord and watching as their enemies destroyed each other. Those destroyed enemies left abundant plunder for the Israelites to take back to Jerusalem for the victory celebration.
Your battles may include family conflict, addiction, financial difficulties, a broken marriage, evil threats and danger, or uncertainty about a decision that must be made. When trouble is on the horizon God wants His people to seek Him and have faith in His guidance and protection. The difficulties in life can be opportunities for your Heavenly Father to show He is a powerful protector, worthy of praise.
Prayer Suggestion: Lord, please help me face today’s battles with faith, not fear.
