Dear Friends,
READ PSALMS 1:1 THROUGH 10:18
When faced with options where a decision involves lasting consequences, what is the best method for choosing wisely? It’s a trick question of sorts. Buried in the words is the suggestion that a wise decision is desirable. Some, however, travel the highways of life without a concern for an ultimate destination. Without a care in the world, such a person floats through life like a dandelion seed caught in an afternoon breeze. Along the way, whatever feels good is good, even if at another’s expense. Such a view, however, has consequences.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction (Psalm 1:6).
Life without regard for God’s will and plan, or in disregard for either, always ends in destruction. Most would not regard themselves as intentionally wicked, but some boast in their wickedness. God will judge.
But what about God’s children, redeemed by the blood of Jesus and set apart for holiness? Clothed in the righteousness of Christ, God watches over them. Ultimately, the destination of these is home in God’s presence.
Thought for Today: This is God’s will for our world, that everyone would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
