Dear Friends,
READ PROVERBS 5:1 THROUGH 8:36
Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand (Proverbs 8:1–2).
What are the intersections of life where people need guidance? Here are some obvious ones: when they are deciding whether to follow Christ or not, in times of moral temptation, and for the big decisions about love and an occupation. However, everyone needs guidance every day. In all your decisions, the Lord stands at the crossroads to point out the wise direction. He always stands at the highest point that leads to the best path, but He doesn’t force a decision on anyone. Satan is also at the crossroads, enticing the believer to go astray through his clever lies, use of peer pressure, and fleshly desires.
The responsible Christian prays for guidance, searches the Scriptures for guidelines, and seeks wise counsel. The Bible promises God will give wisdom generously, if the believer asks in faith. The secret is to ask as little children who trust their Father to provide.
Prayer Suggestion: Father, help me listen carefully for Your direction as I make each decision.
