Dear Friends,

READ ISAIAH 39:1 THROUGH 42:25

“But you don’t understand!”

It’s a common anthem of teens who are trying to express themselves and feel they’ve hit a brick wall. They assume no one in the world has ever felt as they do. At times adults still feel that way, especially when going through situations that their friends and colleagues have not faced yet.

Whether one is young or old, it can be exhausting and lonely to feel like no one comprehends the life struggles being faced. Fortunately, there is One who knows all, and He never gets tired of hearing from His people.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom (Isaiah 40:28).

Isaiah first gives a picture of the hugeness of God, how He is over all creation. But he then transitions to a personal view. Although God is Master of the universe, He still cares about the lives of His special creations, His children.

Thought for Today: Your amazing God, who understands the intricacies of the universe, also understands the intricacies and upheavals in your universe.
