Dear Friends,

READ: MALACHI 1:1 THROUGH 4:6

Political campaigns can be confusing times. One day a candidate will boldly declare his position on a topic. A week later, he or she will give a completely different opinion on the same subject. Truth and consistency are hard to find amid such confusion.

The voters are left wondering what the candidates really believe about a topic and how they would eventually vote on the issue. How can voters trust candidates if they seem to always be changing their minds?

Integrity is an important trait of a leader. How can someone believe a person who will say whatever he or she thinks people want to hear instead of speaking the truth?

“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed” (Malachi 3:6).

Humans can be swayed to change their minds, actions, and beliefs. But God will never change. The Bible reveals He has been unchangeable since before time began.

He is faithful and consistent, and believers can be confident that He will continue to be the same loving and merciful Father.

Thought for Today: You can depend on God to do exactly what His Word says.
