Dear Friends,
READ: LUKE 1:1 THROUGH 2:52
Levi grew in the normal way. He was a healthy baby when he was born. When he was old enough, he began feeding himself. At about one year of age, he took his first steps. As time passed, he learned to say words and then to speak sentences. All the while, he grew taller and gained weight.
After taking on human flesh, Jesus, too, grew the way babies do when there are no unusual challenges present.
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
God designed the human body to grow in a certain fashion—physically and mentally.
But the most important growth is spiritual. As a baby, Jesus learned from His earthly guardians, Mary and Joseph, and from His Father in heaven. He then accepted God’s plan, lived according to God’s principles, and fulfilled His mission on earth. God wants the same for all of His children: a life of purity, obedience to His commands, and the completion of His plan.
Challenge for Today: Demonstrate your faith by growing God’s way.
