Dear Friends,
READ GALATIANS 1:1 THROUGH 3:29

As a young man, Saul was an up-and-coming star in the religious community. He had sat under the most learned of teachers. No doubt he prided himself on his knowledge of the law, as he ambitiously sought to prove himself as someone to watch and emulate.

Determined to protect the purity of the Jewish faith, he self-righteously embraced the role of persecuting the early Christians until he was literally knocked off his high horse on the Damascus Road.

As the scales fell off his eyes that had been blinded, Saul’s thinking did a 180-degree turn. He saw with clarity that his efforts to obey every minute detail of the Law could never do for him what Christ had done.

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” (Galatians 2:21).

A person can try, try, and try again. But it is only through faith in Jesus that people are justified and made right with God. Hallelujah!

Prayer Suggestion: Thank You, God, for the gift of Your grace I receive through Your Son and my Savior, Jesus.
