Dear Friends,
READ GALATIANS 4:1 THROUGH 6:18

Jenny had good intentions. She longed for God’s blessing and to be a blessing. She wanted to do what she felt God was calling her to do. But it seemed no matter how hard she tried, obstacles stood in her way, and her actions were misunderstood by others.

Fellow employees questioned her motives. “You’re just a goody two-shoes trying to get the boss to give you a promotion you don’t deserve.”

That hurt—a lot!

“Father, please help me to do what is right. I don’t want to disappoint You or to be a stumbling block to others,” Jenny prayed. Then she was reminded of a Scripture:

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

It has been said that discouragement is one of the deadliest tools Satan uses to cause God’s people to give up. Good works are abandoned and the harvest of blessing is never received when Christians become discouraged because they are listening to the wrong voices. Christians need to remember that God knows, God cares, and He is present.

Thought for Today: Trust God’s timing and choose not to give in to discouragement.
