Dear Friends,

READ REVELATION 5:1 THROUGH 9:21

Worship is how God’s people express love for God. In John’s vision, John wept because no one could be found worthy to open the scroll. But then the slain Lamb appeared and claimed the scroll. Suddenly, a great explosion of praise broke out in heaven.

The heavenly celebration was entirely centered on Jesus, the Lamb of God, because His death and resurrection triumphed over sin and death. Only He can open the scroll, and only He is worthy of all worship and honor.

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders (Revelation 5:11).

John saw one hundred million angels gathered around, all engaged in praising the Lamb. When God’s people worship the Lord, whether through words or actions, they are connecting with the activity of heaven.

Worship isn’t based on how a person feels. Worship is a lifestyle of continual praise to God because, regardless of a person’s current situation, the Lamb is always worthy to be worshiped.

Thought for Today: Christ is worthy of your worship.
