Dear Friends,

READ REVELATION 15:1 THROUGH 18:24

The neighbors all worried about old Mr. Grimes. He lived alone, and his children and grandchildren were far away. The neighborhood had experienced a series of home invasions, and Mr. Grimes’ frail health meant he would be slow to respond if anything bad happened.

But Mr. Grimes wasn’t concerned. In fact, he felt pity for anyone who tried to rob his home. Bess and Kay, his two surly rottweilers, patrolled the home and protected it from anyone they did not know. He made sure that he was always ready for anything.

“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed” (Revelation 16:15).

Christians should always be ready for the Lord to return. It is not a question of “if” He will return, but “when.” Since believers know it will happen, they must always be prepared.

By living lives filled with Christ’s love and righteousness, believers will always be ready to go with their King in a moment’s notice and will never be caught unprepared or asleep on watch.

Challenge for Today: Live as if Christ will return today.
